01. The Stuka is on the tarmac.
"Tally-ho, Velvet leader, down there on the left ... Stukas!"
This line of dialogue starts an amazing aerial scene in the movie Battle of Britain. It recreates a squadron of Spitfires intercepting German Ju-87 Stuka dive bombers that were attacking the Ventnor radar station. Within a few moments, the nimble Spitfires were on the tails of the lumbering Stukas and, in short order, they quickly downed three airplanes and caused the midair…
